Overview: The URL Shortener allows users to shorten lengthy URLs, track clicks and other analytics, organize links, and use custom domains.
How to Access:
Go to Dashboard.
Select Lead Generation.
Click on URL Shortener.
Key Functionalities:
URL Shortening:
Paste a long URL into the URL Shortener to create a short link.
Example format:
myURL.in/SP
.
Tracking & Analytics:
Monitor metrics including clicks, country, city, language, platform, browser, and device type.
Filter by date to analyze specific URL performance.
Link Organization (Spaces):
Create folders or "Spaces" to categorize links (e.g., YouTube videos, blogs).
Add links to these spaces for easy retrieval and management.
Custom Domain Integration:
Add custom domains for branded links.
Set up CNAME records in your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy).
Verify the domain to activate.
Pixel Integration:
Embed tracking pixels (e.g., Facebook) for detailed performance insights.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Shortening a URL:
Paste the long URL into the URL Shortener.
Set a custom alias if desired (e.g.,
SP
for "Success Principles").Click Shorten to generate the short link.
Tracking URL Performance:
Open the URL’s analytics page.
View metrics for total clicks, device type, geographic location, and more.
Use date filters to specify performance over time.
Creating a Space:
Go to Spaces.
Create a new folder (e.g., “YouTube Videos”) and assign a color.
Add shortened links to this Space for organization.
Adding a Custom Domain:
Go to Custom Domains.
Enter your domain and follow CNAME setup instructions.
Verify to activate the custom domain for shortened links.
Adding Tracking Pixels:
Go to Pixel Integration.
Select a platform (e.g., Facebook) and enter your pixel ID.
Save to enable pixel tracking on all shortened links.
