Tracking Video Engagement

Part 1: Setting Up Your Video Element

Step 1: General Video Settings

After adding a video element within the Funnel Builder, you'll notice "Video Settings" appearing on the right side of your screen. This section is divided into two tabs: General and Advanced. Here's how to get started:

  • Video Type Selection: Choose the appropriate video type (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube, Wistia) and enter the correct video URL to ensure your video displays correctly.

  • Padding and Margins: Similar to image elements, adjusting padding and margins can alter the video's dimensions within your funnel, allowing for a more customized appearance.

  • Autoplay and Controls: Depending on your chosen video type, you can decide whether the video should autoplay and which controls to make available to viewers.

  • Video Quality: The CRM supports various video qualities, including 480P, 720P, 1080P, and Auto, based on the uploaded format.

Step 2: Advanced Video Settings

For further customization, the Advanced section allows you to:

  • Customize Borders: Add or modify the border around your video element.

  • Display Adjustments: Tailor the video's appearance on mobile and desktop devices.

  • CSS Selector: Advanced users can use this option for further customization.

Part 2: Tracking Video Engagement (For Hosted Videos)

Step 1: Initial Video Settings

To track the success of your video within the CRM:

  • Disable 'Show Progress Bar': Opt for a cleaner look by disabling the progress bar.

  • Enable 'Redirect Unregistered Visitors': Use cookies to track a lead's video progress, specifying a redirection page for unregistered visitors.

Step 2: Creating a Workflow

  • Set Workflow Trigger: Choose "Video Tracking" as the trigger to monitor how leads interact with your video.

  • Filter Selection: Use filters to specify which video to track and define the viewership percentage you're interested in monitoring.

Step 3: Implementing Actions

  • Nurture Leads: Utilize the Video Tracking trigger as a nurturing tool by sending targeted emails to viewers based on their engagement level.

  • Custom Actions: Add any additional actions to align with your marketing goals, such as follow-up tasks or additional emails.

Troubleshooting Tips and FAQ

  • Video Not Displaying: Ensure the video URL is correct and matches the selected video type.

  • Workflow Not Triggering: Verify that the leads being tracked already exist as contacts within the CRM.

  • Video Quality Issues: Check the original video format and ensure it's compatible with the CRM's supported qualities.
